Solus Coaches has introduced two new Plaxton Leopards to its fleet of 45 vehicles. Both are 12.8m 72-seat B8R models with I-Shift transmissions and will be based at the company’s facilities in Tamworth.
Solus has a private hire and tour fleet in which the average age of vehicles is less than three years.
“We are well located in terms of providing contract services for the county councils in both Staffordshire and Warwickshire,” says director Andy Garrett. “In addition, we have good access to the extensive motorway network serving the whole of the country, and, as a result, we have established strong working partnerships with blue-chip tour companies operating locally, nationally and internationally.
“All of that means we need vehicles with passenger appeal, guaranteed reliability and performance credentials second to none. The Plaxton range meets that criteria and our new Leopards have slipped seamlessly into our day-to-day operations.”
Lee Salt, regional sales manager, Alexander Dennis, adds: “Being a Tamworth boy myself it’s great to do business with a company like Solus Coaches. Andy and his team are single-minded, focused on providing best-in-class services and are going from strength to strength.”
