Sussex Coaches of Horsham, West Sussex has taken delivery of a new high-capacity Scania Irizar I-Skool coach. Based on a Scania K 360 IB6x2*4 chassis equipped with Scania’s Euro 6 360hp engine and Scania’s fully-automated Opticruise gear-selection system, the 13.6m-long vehicle has 80 seats in a 3+2 configuration.
Interior fitments include climate control, Bosch Professional audio/video equipment and a reversing camera. On the exterior, pavement lights are fitted to both sides to aid loading on dark evenings.
Sussex Coaches will receive an inclusive repair and maintenance programme offered to all Scania retail customers purchasing new coaches, as well as a ten year subscription to Scania Onboard, Scania’s telematics system which records driver and vehicle performance, with reports sent direct to the customer by email.
“It’s been a pleasure to have supplied Sam Ayling of Sussex Coaches’ first new vehicle for a number of years,” says Richard Lawrie, Scania Bus & Coach regional account manager. “The I-Skool is really going to help meet the needs of the company’s current customers. It also looks fantastic in the Sussex Coaches livery – a real head turner.”
