Café Culture for Oxford Bus staff

Oxford Bus Company has teamed up with a local vending operator Connect Vending to introduce an innovative new Deli Café for staff at its Cowley depot.

The new self-service Deli Cafe is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and allows staff to purchase a wide range of hot and cold food such as sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads, as well as breakfast items, cakes, pastries, snacks and confectionery and sushi.

Barista-style coffee is also available, and staff can enjoy their food and drinks in a modern, café -style environment.

Touch screen, self service tills enable staff to pay using credit cards or smartphones on a trust basis which helps save on staffing costs, and means the café can run around the clock.

“Deli Café is the first of its type and is the culmination of 18 months research and development in collaboration with one of our longest-standing clients,” says Connect Vending managing director Stuart Coutts. “We’re delighted and proud with the results to date offering a truly 24/7 operation for all the staff.”
