Four Enviro200s for Johnsons’ bus routes

Four new ADL Enviro200s have joined the fleet of Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel, based at Henley-in-Arden. With 100 vehicles, divided evenly between buses and coaches, Johnsons has a strong brand across the midlands – and Excelbus, its bus operations, operates services in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Cotswolds, Banbury, Coventry and Rugby.

Apart from these town and inter-city routes, Excelbus also works with local authorities, schools and colleges to provide day-long transport solutions for students and in a bid to further enhance its broad-based services it has been introducing a variety of route alterations lately.

These include improved timetables on the newly-created Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, which will integrate the four new Enviro200s.

“We are delighted to introduce the Enviro200s as part of our ongoing improvement plan,” says John Johnson, commercial director. “They are stylish, well received by drivers and passengers, and perform well, all of which is critical in terms of providing bus services that operate timely and efficiently. I’m sure they will be a big success, just like the other Enviro200s that already form part of our Excelbus fleet.”

All four of the new Enviro200s are 10.8m, 39-seat Euro 5 vehicles, powered by Cummins four-cylinder engines with Allison gearboxes.
