Coach operators urged to support new CPT North West chair
The new chair of CPT’s North West region, Anthony’s Travel managing partner Richard Bamber is calling for renewed involvement from local coach operators in the trade association’s affairs.
“It’s a great year to push coaches to the top of the agenda with CPT,” says Bamber. “Often coach operators feel their voice isn’t heard; this year we are hoping to change that but need proactive coach operators to assist us.
“As an organisation it’s noticeable that coach operators are not engaging with North West CPT, some of the regular coach attendees have stopped coming whilst other operators we seldom hear from. This may be due to a number of reasons: time, meeting content or lack of information.
“The intention of the coming months is to re-engage with coach operator members, to be more pro-active with our relationship with all members including suppliers and arrange more bespoke events and greater emphasis on sharing best practices.”
Bamber says that his objective for the chairmanship is for everyone who attends meetings to feel that they have gained something, no matter what the size of operation, pointing out that Anthony’s is a small operation.
“To do this we really need your input for the CPT to be an effective voice for the coach operator,” adds Bamber, “so tell us what you want to see at meetings, whatever your concerns are please get in touch and come to the regional meetings, even if you can’t make some meetings we are all ears so contact us with your issues, if you want to see a difference within the industry come and help to make a difference.”
