More Scanias for Johnsons Coach Travel
Johnsons Coach Travel of Henley-in-Arden has taken delivery of five new Scania Interlink coaches taking its new vehicle investment programme to more £1.5million in 2017.
The five new coaches join two new 35-seat Yutong coaches that arrived in March, taking the total coach fleet to more 50.
Four of the new Scania Finesse coaches are 12.8m long with two specified as 49-seat ‘Club Class’ with extra legroom for use on Johnsons holiday and day excursion programme, and two 53-seat coaches with full wheelchair accessibility.
The fifth Interlink is a 14.1m 63-seater variant which joins four others that have been bought in the last three years. All the new Scanias have reclining half-leather seats, toilet, climate control, audio and visual equipment and USB charging points.
“We’ve been impressed with the reliability and performance of the previous Interlink product and when the new Finesse became available we liked it straight away,” says John Johnson, commercial director, Johnsons Coach Travel. “We immediately noted the deeper windows, the reduced aisle step and the overall build quality. And with the added benefit of Scania’s R&M package we were very happy to choose Interlinks this year, to complement our rapidly increasing Euro 6 coach fleet.”
