Expansion for Ffestiniog railway

It has been a busy year for the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway with two new sections of line opening in the spring. The Welsh Highland now runs to the pretty village of Beddgelert and onwards through the stunning scenery of the Aberglaslyn Pass.

The addition offers an interesting range of journeys for groups for 2010. The Ffestiniog continues to run throughout the year for groups with special hosted trains running in January and full line services running from mid February. The Welsh Highland will continue to run to Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn Pass with a possible further extension to Porthmadog later in the year. It will be open between Easter and October. Both are open between Christmas and New Year.
