New Guildford depot for Stagecoach

New Guildford depot for Stagecoach Stagecoach operations manager Trevor Jones; Sue Jackson, deputy mayoress; Gordon Jackson, deputy mayor, Guildford; and Andrew Dyer, Stagecoach regional managing director.

Stagecoach has opened a new base in Surrey with a move into new premises in Peasmarsh, just south of Guildford. Deputy mayor of Guildford Gordon Jackson joined Stagecoach regional managing director Andrew Dyer to officially open the new depot.

The new facility, which was previously home to a venetian blinds business, became operational from 24 May 2015, and is home to 31 buses and 72 staff.

"We're committed to delivering the best services for our customers, and providing the best operating environment for our staff,” says Dyer. “The location of the new depot site will help to deliver bus services across the Guildford and south Surrey area, including the popular Guildford park-and-ride service."

The new depot will be overseen by newly-promoted Trevor Jones, who moves from Exeter and an engineering team, headed by assistant engineering manager Brian Collins.
