Volvo Bus has reorganised its UK service team. IAN WALLACE has been appointed service manager UK and Ireland, taking over from DEREK MAYOR who retires at the end of this year. Wallace retains responsibility for the technical support team. A Volvo-trained Frontline Technician, based at Volvo Truck & Bus Scotland in Cardonald, Glasgow, Wallace has wide experience in the bus and coach industry, as Volvo Bus technical support manager and before that area service manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Other changes in the reorganisation see the following area service managers being named: North & Scotland, CRAIG CONNOLLY; Crossroads/Hartshornes, RICHARD NEWMAN; East Anglia, WW Truck & Bus and MC Truck & Bus, NEIL HERON; London, ANDY OLVER; Ireland, RICKY MASON. An appointment at Thomas Hardie Commercials is to be announced shortly.
MIKE BALDWIN, Volvo Bus portfolio support and administration manager, takes on the additional responsibility of all warranty and technical claim handling, assisted by BARRY MACE who transfers to the role of technical claim assessor. The reorganisation “maintains the combined resource, in-depth knowledge and expertise to the benefit of our customers,” says ANDY KUNZE, Volvo Bus customer services director.
